Cin7 Omni: Set up the Marsello Chrome extension at POS

Install the Marsello Chrome extension on each Cin7 Omni POS computer, then connect it with your Cin7 API username so staff can view points and redeem rewards.

This guide is specific to the Cin7 Omni POS integration.

The Marsello Chrome extension adds a Check Rewards button to the Cin7 Omni POS sales screen. Staff use it to view a customer's points, redeem loyalty rewards or email discounts, and update marketing preferences at checkout. Install it on every computer that runs Cin7 Omni POS, then connect it to your Cin7 account.

Before you start

Make sure the following installation has been completed:

Cin7 Omni is connected to Marsello and your POS sites are enabled on the Integrations page
The Marsello Discount product is set up in Cin7 Omni (How to create a Marsello Discount product)
Staff use Google Chrome, not an incognito window, to access Cin7 Omni POS
Install the extension on every till used for sales. It's set up per browser, not once for your account.

Install the Marsello Chrome extension

⚠️ Important: Install the Marsello Chrome extension on every computer used to access Cin7 Omni POS in-store.

1. On the POS computer, open Google Chrome.

2. Go to Google Chrome web store > Marsello for Cin7

3. Click Add to Chrome to install

4. Click Add extension to confirm

5. Click the puzzle-piece icon in the Chrome toolbar, then click the pin next to Marsello for Cin7 so the Marsello logo stays visible.

Connect your Marsello Chrome extension to your Cin7 Omni account

1. In the Chrome toolbar, click the Marsello logo to open the extension settings.

2. In the settings, next to Find your API Username, click the word here.

This opens the API setup page in Cin7 Omni admin.

3. Under Auth, copy your API Username

4. Back in the extension settings, paste your API username.

5. Click Submit
The extension is now connected. The Check Rewards button appears on the customer's profile once a customer is added to a sale.

Access loyalty profiles from Cin7 Omni POS sales screen

1. Open your Cin7 Omni sales screen

2. Add your customer to the sale by searching for them by name, email address, or mobile number

3. Add the products the customer is buying.

4. Apply any manual discounts.

5. Click the customer's name to open their profile, then click Check Rewards.

This opens the customer's loyalty profile, where you can view their points and available rewards and email discounts, and update their marketing preferences.

💡 Tip: Always add the customer before applying manual discounts. Cin7 clears any manual discounts on the sale when a customer is added.
