Checking customers' marketing preferences in Marsello

A customer can be part of your loyalty program and/or your email marketing depending on their preferences.

To understand how a customer is part of your Marsello program, you can look at their customer states under their profile. A customer can be part of your loyalty program and/or your email marketing depending on their preferences.

How to check if the customer is part of your loyalty program

1. In your Marsello Admin, navigate to Customers > All Customers and search for the customer by their name or email address


2. Click on the customer's Name to open their customer profile.


3. While in the customer's profile, scroll down to the Loyalty section where you will find the customer's Loyalty member status

📝Note: There are a couple of different loyalty status types:

  • Yes: The customer is a member and can receive loyalty email notifications

  • Yes (unsubscribed): The customer is a member but has unsubscribed from your loyalty email notifications

  • Blacklisted: The customer has been removed from your loyalty program

  • No: The customer has been removed from your loyalty program

How to check if the customer is part of your email marketing list

1. In your Marsello Admin, navigate to Customers > All Customers and search for the customer by their name or email address


2. In the search results, you will see a green check mark next to the customer's email address if they accept email marketing. If the customer does not, there will not be a green check mark as in the examples below.

3. To take a deeper look into the customer's marketing preferences, select on the customer by clicking on their Name


4. In the customer's profile, scroll down to the Customer detail section


5. In the Marketing section you'll find Email subscriber status as well as SMS subscriber status.

📝Note: There are a couple of different status types:

  • Accepts marketing: Customer has opted-in and can receive your email/SMS marketing

  • Doesn't accept marketing: Customer doesn't want to receive your email/SMS marketing

  • Unsubscribed: The customer has opted out of your email/SMS marketing
