Automatically award & remove loyalty points for orders with Cin7 Omni

Sync orders automatically, award points for purchases and remove points through your customized loyalty settings.

For Cin7 Omni merchants
(Formerly known as Cin7 POS)

Whenever a customer makes a purchase, their order syncs automatically with your Marsello account. If "Earn Points for Making a Purchase" is enabled, they’ll earn points for their order.

If an order is canceled or returned, Marsello can automatically deduct the earned points. You can customize when points are awarded or deducted based on the order’s payment status in your Loyalty settings.

🤖 By default, customers will:
> Earn loyalty points if their order's payment status is: Approved

> Remove their loyalty points if their order's payment status is: NAME


Choose when customers earn points for making a purchase

1. In your Marsello admin, go to Settings > Loyalty > Points program

🤖 By default: Customers' loyalty points are earned when their order's payment status is updated to: Approved

2. Under Cin7 Omni > Order Rewarding, click Reward Points when Payment Status is one of:

3. From the drop-down, click to add or remove your preferred Payment Status options

📝 Note: You can update this to suit your business. Your customers will only be rewarded loyalty points for their purchases once.

4. Click Save


Choose when customers' loyalty points are removed

1. In your Marsello admin, go to Settings > Loyalty > Points program

🤖 By default: Customers' loyalty points are removed, when their ticket's payment status is updated to: NAME

2. Under Cin7 Omni > Order Rewarding, view Cancel Points when Payment Status is one of:

3. Optional: You can update your setting:

  • You can remove NAME, and this will mean all points earned for the order will remain on the customer's account
    OR

  • You can leave the settings as is, and customers' points will be removed if their order's payment status is updated to NAME

4. Click Save


How to check the order's payment status in Cin7 Omni

1. In your Cin7 Omni Admin, go to Sales > Sales Orders


2. Search for the order by Customer Name or Reference Number

3. On the order line item, click the reference number to open the order details

4. In the Edit Sales Order screen, scroll to the Branch block. You can see the order's Payment Status to compare with your Marsello loyalty order rewarding settings for earned or removed points.

Your customers' experience

When a customer makes a purchase, their order details and payment status sync automatically with your Marsello account.

Earn Points

If the payment status matches your Marsello Order Rewarding settings, the customer earns points automatically. If the Earned Points Email notification is enabled, they’ll also receive an email with their earned points.

Removed points

When a customer returns an order or cancels a sale, the updated order and payment status sync automatically with your Marsello account. If the new payment status aligns with your Order Rewarding settings, the customer’s loyalty points will be automatically deducted.
