⚠️ Important:
Any discount codes that the customer has claimed and not yet redeemed are still active. The customer will still be able to use their unique reward discount code. Discount codes are unique and can only be used once.
Rewards that were created before March 2019 are unable to be edited. Please create a new reward if you would like to make a change to an older reward.
How to edit a your store-wide reward
1. In your Marsello app admin, go to Loyalty > Points program > Redeeming and click on the Reward title of the reward you'd like to update. Under the reward details, click Edit on the right-hand side.
2. Update your current reward settings. You can edit:
Reward title
Reward type
Discount amount
Advanced reward options
Reward terms
On the left, you can see your current reward settings so you can check your updates before you confirm.
⚠️ Important: If you update your reward settings, please make sure these changes are reflected in the reward title.
3. Click Update to save your reward setting changes. Your new reward settings will then be saved. Customers who claim this reward discount code going forward will use these new reward settings.
How to edit a reward with advanced settings
1. In your Marsello app admin, go to Loyalty > Points program > Redeeming and click on the Reward title of the reward you'd like to update. Under the reward details, click Edit on the right-hand side
2. Update the current reward settings as needed. Then click on the drop-down menu under click Advanced options
Editing a product specific reward
3. Under the Applies to menu, ensure the checkbox is selected next to the text "Apply discount to specific products and/or collections
4. Enter the Collection/Category Name
Editing a minimum spend reward
5. Under Limits you can choose to add or remove a minimum spend threshold required on an order for the customer to use this reward.
To add a minimum spend rule, simply select the checkbox
To remove the minimum spend rule, simply deselect the checkbox.
Editing terms on a reward
6. Under Expiry, tiers and terms you can place further conditions on the reward such as setting the reward to a specific VIP tier, expiring the reward after a set amount of time of being received by the customer and adding in terms to let the customer know how they can use the reward.
6. Click Update
How it works – Your customers' experience
Once you've updated your reward, the next time the customer claims a reward, the reward will be created behind the scenes using your updated settings. The process for the customer to claim and redeem hasn't changed, they can continue as they normally would.
