Here are some key details to note about sales tracking for social posts:
Sales tracking is the ability to measure sales generated from a marketing activity/channel. With Marsello's social media integration, you can now measure the sales generated from your social media posts in-store and online.
Sales tracking options:
Tag a product(s) or product collection(s): Marsello will track in-store and online sales of that product(s) to the social media post within the specified sales tracking window.
Tag a product collection(s): Marsello will track in-store and online sales of that product collection to the social media post within the specified sales tracking window.
Enter a promo code: Marsello will track in-store and online sales that include your promo-code. Remember promo codes are generated via your POS or eCommerce platform.
Add sales tracking to your social media post
1. In your Marsello admin, go to Marketing > Social media > Posts
2. Click into the post you wish to track sales for and click Track Sales
3. Enter the sales tracking settings for your selected social post
Product(s) Link: Enter the name of your product(s) into the POS and/or eCommerce box(s), then select the product from the drop-down list. Repeat for all product(s) showcased in your social post.
OR
Collection(s) Link: Enter the name of your product collection(s) into the POS and/or eCommerce box(s), then select the product from the drop-down list. Repeat for all collection(s) showcased in your social post.
OR
Promo Code Link: Enter the promo code that you've used in your social post.

4. Customize your sales tracking window (optional)
π‘ Tip: We recommend tracking a post for 24 hours for the strongest sales tracking.
5. Click Save changes

Your social post's sales tracking settings have been saved.
IF it's a historical social post: Marsello will being to process any orders that occurred within the sales tracking window from the publish date and match it against your sales tracking settings.
π Note: This process can take up to an hour to display reporting depending on sales volumes in that window.
IF it's a scheduled social post: Once published, Marsello will being to process any orders that occurred within the sales tracking window from the publish date and match it against your sales tracking settings.
Review the performance of your social posts
Any social post with sales tracking settings, will now display any revenue generated.
Social post list view:
π Note: The revenue will display as $0 while the sales tracking is loading. This is expected behavior as it may take a up to an hour to finish processing.
