⚠️Important: Returning loyalty points for a change of mind on reward usage during a transaction is only available for merchants using POS prompts on iOS.


How to return loyalty points to a customer for change of mind on use of a loyalty reward

If a customer decides to redeem a loyalty reward during a transaction but changes their mind before completion, staff can immediately return the loyalty points to their account on iOS.

From your Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) dashboard

1. In your Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) dashboard, leave the transaction open and remove the discount from the sale

2. Remove the customer from the sale.

3. The customer's loyalty points will automatically be returned to the customer's loyalty account in Marsello.

4. While still in your Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) dashboard, go back into the customer search screen and re-add the customer to the transaction via POS prompts.

4. Here you will be able to either redeem a different reward or complete the transaction, whichever the customer prefers.
