Create a pop-up sign-up form

Capture your online store browser's email addresses with a custom-designed pop-up form, so you can use email to convert them into customers.

Create a pop-up sign-up form

1. In the Marsello admin, go to Customer experience > Online > Signup forms and click Create form

2. Click Create this form under the pop-up form

4. Customize the design of your sign-up form

  • Use the drag-and-drop the content blocks on the right-hand side to customize the design of your sign-up form.

5. Customize the form field options

  • Click on the form options block to edit the text on the form and also add new form options like birthday or custom forms.

📝 Note: The two form options Name & Email Address are required fields and cannot be removed.

6. Click Save

Customize your success page

This page shows what the customer will see once they successfully sign up to your list.

1. In the Form editor click Success page

  • Use the drag-and-drop the content blocks on the right-hand side to customize the design of your success page.

3. Click Save to save your pop-up form customization

4. Click Next Step to proceed to settings

Choose your Pop-up form display settings

1. Click Timing to choose when your pop-up displays on your online store

  • If you would like to display your pop-up after a visitor spends a certain amount of time on your online store:
    A. Select Show form after user spends [ ] second(s) on a page.
    B. Enter the number of seconds that you'd like your pop-up to display after.

  • If you would like to display your pop-up after a visitor shows intent to exit your online store:
    A. Select Show form when a visitor tries to leave your store

You can select either or both of these timing options.

2. Click Save & Proceed

Preview and enable your pop-up form

1. In the Review and Launch, check the design and content of your pop-up form

2. Edit the name of your pop-up form to make it easier to identify in the Forms dashboard (optional)

3. Click Save & Enable. Your pop-up will begin to display on your online store.

Your window shoppers' experience

Once you've enabled your pop-up on your online store, the pop-up will begin to display to your visitors. They will be able to join your mailing list by completing the sign-up form.
The visitors must enter their Name and Email address, and then opt-in to your mailing list by clicking the Subscribe button at the bottom of the form.

They will then be added as a customer on your eCommerce (and POS) and into your Marsello Window Shopper customer segment ready to receive your marketing.

FAQ

Q. Can I edit/update my popup form after I enable it on my store site?

A. Yes, you can edit/update your popup form after it has been saved and enabled. In your Marsello dashboard go to Customer experience > Online > Signup forms . To the right of the form you wish to edit, you will see a drop-down arrow next to the view report button, click edit. This will open the form editor where you can make changes to your form, save them and set them live.

Q. Can I switch my popup form on and off as needed?

A. Yes, you can enable and disable your popup signup form as required. To enable or disable simple toggle the to on/off button to the right of the form's name in your Marsello dashboards. Forms are located under Customer experience > Online > Signup forms
