Use Shopify Flows + Marsello to automate loyalty workflows. Create custom points-earning option(s) using a trigger to add or remove loyalty points. Perfect for creating a custom earn option (On top of our prebuilt 11 ways to earn).

What is Shopify Flow?

Shopify Flow is an eCommerce automation solution that was purpose-built to help solve the unique challenges that Shopify merchants face. With Flow, you can build workflows to automate tasks, campaigns, and processes within your store and across your apps. These automations give you the power to build the custom solutions that your business needs.

Using Marsello's Flow Action

Workflows can help you build custom earn points options for your Shopify Plus store.

Here are the steps to create your own workflow:

1. In your Shopify admin, open Shopify Flow


2. Click Create workflow


3. Click + ➡️ Add trigger and then select the trigger that starts the workflow.


4. Click Add condition and select the condition that must be met before any actions can be run.


5. Click Add action


6. Select the Marsello "Add Points" action


7. Enter a Reason: Add a message for the customer to receive when they receive their points

8. Add ##{{ customer.email }} to ensure the points are added to their loyalty profile (in Marsello).

9. Enter Points to Add: Indicate how many points the customer should receive

10. Click Save and enter a title for your workflow.


11. Click Preview workflow to test how your workflow runs in your store.


12. Click Enable to turn on the workflow in your store.

Examples of Shopify Flows using Marsello Connection ("Add Points" action):

  • Reward set points when a customer creates a store account

  • Reward set points when a customer makes X number of repeat purchases

  • Reward set points when the total order value is greater than X to incentivize a higher average order value

  • Reward set points as a thank you for leaving a Product Review

  • Reward set points on the anniversary of the customer sign-up

  • Reward set points to celebrate your business’ birthday

  • Reward set points as a surprise/gift on retail holidays
