Marsello and Klaviyo work seamlessly together to empower you in crafting targeted marketing campaigns for your customers.

By leveraging the loyalty program, customers are incentivize to provide their information at the point of sale (POS), including their name, email address, and/or mobile number. This order and customer data is then synced in real-time into Klaviyo, allowing you to send personalized marketing communications to segmented customer groups.

Klaviyo and Marsello merchants can:

This article details how to leverage your Marsello order data to measure individual Klaviyo email and/or SMS campaigns impact on in-store sales, to identify effective marketing strategies for your physical stores.


Before you start

Please ensure that you've set up the Marsello x Klaviyo integration correctly:

  • You've created a private API Full Access Key (see more information)

  • You've connected Marsello to Klaviyo in under the Extensions section

  • You've enabled the "Sync POS orders" setting (required), to also measure your eCommerce sales please ensure "Sync eCommerce orders" (optional).

Review your individual campaign report in Klaviyo

Note: For this example, we'll use an email campaign.

1. Open your Klaviyo account, go to Campaigns

2. Click on the Campaign, to open the reporting

3. Under Conversion metric, click to open the drop-down options

4. Enter "marsello", then select "Marsello - Placed Order"

This will automatically filter your Overview tab to display detailed analytics for that individual message based on orders tracked in Marsello.

5. Click into the Conversion tab

6. Next to Conversion Metric 'Marsello - Placed Order' add a sub property to dive deeper into the analytics.

Here you can analyse:

  • items: See a list of products that were purchased based on this campaign.

  • Platform: See the difference between your POS platform channel vs Online platform channel

  • Site_name: See a list all sites POS locations & online store (if you're syncing eCommerce orders from Marsello).

7. Click into the Recipient Activity tab

8. Click onto the customer name to open their Klaviyo Profile

9. Under the Activity log, you can then click into the "Marsello - Placed Order" to see at an individual customer level more information about their order including; location, items purchased, how many items, order value etc.

Klaviyo has a number of different places where you can update the Conversion Metric to filter/display your "Marsello - Placed Orders" so you can see the impact of your Klaviyo marketing on your in-store and online sales.

View the impact of your flow automations in-store and online at a high-level, with the opportunity to dive into the deeper analytics of the email like above.

Review this metric over different timeframes, cohort & Best people analysis and view via Activity map, all at your finger tips.
