A tabless loyalty program lets you remove the loyalty tab from your online store while still giving customers easy access to their loyalty profile. By creating a unique loyalty program link and adding it to your store’s navigation, banners, or other on-site placements, you can offer a clean browsing experience without losing visibility of your rewards program. This guide shows you how to hide the loyalty tab, create your loyalty link, and add it to your store so customers can quickly join, earn points, and redeem rewards.

📝 Note:
You can adjust the position and visibility of your loyalty tab. The settings location depends on which experience you’re using:

Legacy Loyalty Widget:
Update tab position and visibility under Loyalty Tab Design.
Customer Portal:
Update these settings under the Customer Portal → Position Settings. Step-by-step instructions are provided below.

How do I create a tabless loyalty program?

Update the Customer portal visibility

1. In your Marsello admin, go to Customer experience > Personal Device > Customer Portal > Configuration > Position

2. Under Launcher visibility, select Hide on all screens

In the Marsello admin, go to Customer experience > Personal Device > Customer Portal > Configuration > Position. Under "Launcher visibility," select "Hide on all screens" to hide the launcher.

Create your unique loyalty program link

1. Create your unique loyalty program link while in the Customer Portal by adding your store's URL to the loyalty link field on the Configuration page.

💡Pro Tip: You can have this on any page on your website, as long as it has /?loyal at the end of the URL.

2. Copy your loyalty program link. You can now use this loyalty program link on your online store to create a tabless program.

One way you can create a tabless program is by adding your unique loyalty program link to your store's navigation.

1. In your Shopify admin, click Content > Menus

2. Click the menu you'd like to add your loyalty program. For the purposes of this guide, we will add the loyalty program to the Main Menu.

3. Under Main Menu, click Add menu item

Under "Main Menu," click "Add menu item" to add a new link.

4. Enter the name of your menu item, e.g. Rewards, Loyalty Club, VIP

5. Under Link, paste your unique loyalty program link

6. Click Add, and then Save Menu

How it works - Your customers' experience

Your new loyalty program menu item will then show on your chosen website navigation, e.g. Main Menu.

When a visitor clicks REWARDS the loyalty widget will open. New customers can join your loyalty program and existing customers can log in to check their points balance, earn points, and redeem rewards.

💡 Pro Tip: Make sure that your loyalty program is visible and clearly labeled so that customers can find it. You may even choose to have links on both top and bottom navigation bars, and button links throughout the site so it's easily accessible.
