Customize your in-store portal for Lightspeed Restaurant (O-Series) POS

Add your store's brand to your in-store customer portal to make your loyalty program your own. The in-store customer portal is a place for your customers to interact with your loyalty program and also access any discount codes sent via marketing emails. Here they can sign up, check their points balance, earn more points, and claim rewards.

How to customize the in-store customer portal

๐Ÿ“ Note: If you are using Lightspeed Ordering / Bopple, you can direct your customers to sign up to your Bopple store accounts to create a seamless in-store and online ordering loyalty experience.

2. Click on the Branding & Settings tab. Here, you can customize the design of your in-store customer portal.


Upload your brand imagery

Logo

1. Go to Imagery > Logo and Choose file to select an image from your computer

  • Nav logo image: 180px width by 26px height

2. Under Banner Image, click Choose file to select an image from your computer. To make sure the images are the optimal size for the in-store customer portal please use the suggested size dimensions:

  • Banner image: 390px width by 182px height

  • To replace the image with another image, simply click Choose File and select a new image from your device.

3. Click Save & Publish


Select your theme color

1. Go to the Color drop-down menu


2. Add your store's brand colors by entering your hex color code or simply click on the color picker to select your color.


There are 4 brand color options to update:

  • Banner background color

  • Button background color

  • Selected button background color

  • Selected button text color

3. Click Save & Publish


Customize the widget font

1. Go to the Font drop-down menu


2. Click Open Sans to open the drop-down menu


3. From the font list, select your chosen font

4. Click Save & Publish


Customize your in-store customer portal domain

1. Go to the Domain drop-donw menu and update the sub-domain to your chosen name.

๐Ÿ“ Note: By default, this will use your business name. Please note that no special characters can be used in the sub-domain.

2. Click Save & Publish

Customize or translate your in-store portal text

1. Go to the Wording drop-down menu and under the Header Text field, edit the introduction text to your preferred content

How it works โ€“ Your customers' experience

How customers access their loyalty profile in-store

When your customers earn loyalty points for their order, they will receive your loyalty points earned email (if enabled). On this email, your customers can click through to see their loyalty profile on your in-store customer portal.

What customers can do on their loyalty profile

Here they'll be able to see the rewards that they can earn points towards and also complete actions like liking on social media or completing their profile to earn more points.


Update loyalty automation to use the in-store portal Lightspeed Restaurant (O-Series) POS

Existing Lightspeed Restaurant (O-Series) POS merchants can now share their in-store customer portal experience with customers via loyalty automation. The in-store customer portal is a place for your customers to interact with your loyalty program and also access any discount codes sent via marketing emails. Here they can sign up, check their points balance, earn more points and claim rewards.


How to add the in-store portal link to loyalty automation

1. In your Marsello app admin, go to Customer experience > Point of sale > In-store portal > In-store portal brand > Domain and copy your domain name.

2. While in your Marsello app admin, open up a new tab and paste your domain name in the URL address bar and add .marsello.app to the end of it. This will populate your unique domain.

Add the in-store portal signup link to your loyalty email notifications

1. Switch back into your Marsello app admin. Go to Marketing > Automations and click on the Automation you wish to edit. Then select edit automation of the Automation.

๐Ÿ“Note: If the Automation you are looking to edit is enabled, you will have to temporarily disable it.

2. Click on the pencil icon of the email template you will be editing, then Edit Email.

3. Drag and drop a button block into the desired location of your email campaign.

4. Double-click in the button block to edit the text and update to "Show Rewards".

5. Under the Action setting in the button block editor (right-hand side of your screen), go to URL and use control+v to link the button to your unique customer portal.

6. Further customize the look and feel of your button under the button options editor to better suit your brand.

7. Click Save and Enable Automation.


8. Repeat steps 1-7 to update all loyalty automation

The show rewards button will connect them to the in-store portal so that customers can check their loyalty balance, claim rewards, and complete additional earning options.

Here they can sign up, check their points balance, earn more points, and claim rewards.


How to create your in-store portal link

1. In your Marsello app admin, go to Customer experience > Point of sale > In-store portal > In-store portal brand > Domain copy your domain name.

2. While in your Marsello app admin, open up a new tab and paste your domain name in the URL address bar and add .marsello.app to the end of it. This will populate your unique domain.

3. While still in the new tab, copy your unique domain name for customizations in campaigns and automations.

๐Ÿ“ Note: For the purposes of this guide, an email Campaign is used for illustrative purposes. You can use follow the same steps to add merge tags to an Automation. Please be sure to update each email in the flow that hosts the loyalty widget using the steps below.

1. In your Marsello app admin, go to Marketing > Campaigns > Email and select Create Campaign if this will be a new campaign. If you are editing an existing draft campaign, please open the draft for editing.

2. Drag and drop a button block into the desired location of your email campaign

3. Double-click in the button block to edit the text and update to "Show Rewards".

4. Under the Action setting in the button block editor (right-hand side of your screen), go to URL and use control+v to link the button to your unique customer portal.

5. Further customize the look and feel of your button under the button options editor to better suit your brand.

6. Click Save
