How to create a 'fixed value ($) off a product collection' reward in BigCommerce

1. In your Marsello admin, go to Loyalty > Points program > Redeeming and click Add Reward.

To create a 'fixed value ($) off a product collection' reward in BigCommerce, open the Marsello admin, navigate to Loyalty > Points program > Redeeming, and click "Add Reward."

2. This will open a popup form where you can add the details of your reward. Please complete the following:

  • Select type of reward: Click Fixed discount amount in the drop-down menu

 A popup form will open where you can enter your reward details. In the form, select the reward type by choosing "Fixed discount amount" from the drop-down menu.
  • Reward Title: Give your reward a title that lets your customers know which specific product is discounted

Enter a Reward Title that clearly informs customers which specific product or product collection the discount applies to.
  • Discount amount: Enter the discount amount

Enter the discount amount for the fixed value off the product or product collection.
  • Points cost: Set the number of points a customer needs to spend to redeem your reward

  • Under Advanced options, go to Selected Categories (online only)

Under Advanced options, navigate to the "Selected Categories (online only)" section.
  • Tick the categories that the reward refers to.

Under Terms, enter the conditions your members must follow when using this reward. Examples of terms to include with your loyalty rewards are provided for guidance.

3. Click Create. Your new reward will now show on the Rewards page of your loyalty widget and is ready for your customers to redeem.


How to create a % off a product collection reward in BigCommerce

1. In your Marsello admin, go to Loyalty > Points program > Redeeming and click Add Reward

To create a percentage-off reward for a product collection in BigCommerce, go to your Marsello admin, navigate to Loyalty > Points program > Redeeming, and click "Add Reward."

2. This will open a popup form where you can add the details of your reward. Please complete the following:

  • Discount Type: Click Percentage in the drop-down

A popup form will open to add your reward details. In the form, select "Percentage" as the Discount Type from the drop-down menu.
  • Reward Title: Give your reward a title that lets your customers know which specific product is discounted.

  • Points required to redeem: Set the number of points a customer needs to spend to redeem your reward

Tips for Success

  • Get creative with reward titles. Add personality and variety to make rewards more enticing and spark customer interest.

  • Offer at least three rewards. A rewards ladder motivates customers to earn and spend more points, giving them flexibility and encouraging higher engagement.

  • Educate your staff. Make sure employees know the loyalty rewards so they can promote them at checkout β€” driving both customer retention and program sign-ups.

  • Test and learn. Experiment with different reward types and discounts to discover what your customers value most.

  • Set clear terms and conditions. Protect your store and ensure fair use by clearly outlining how and when rewards can be redeemed.
