How do I redeem customer rewards?
You can redeem loyalty rewards and email discounts directly from the sales screen. Discounts are not applied automatically and require manual staff action to ensure they are added to the sale.
π Note: The customer must be added to the sale and have a valid email address to redeem rewards.
1. Click on Sales from your R-Series admin.
2. Click new sale
3. Find the customer's items to the sale via the item search menu
Add the customer's items to the sale.
4. Add your customers to the sale by searching for them by name, email address or mobile number. Alternatively, you can scan the customer's QR code from their email or portal to locate their profile.
5. Click + Attach to sale.
6. Tap on the Loyalty button This process also supports QR code-based discounts, allowing staff to apply them seamlessly.
This will open the customer's loyalty profile. Here you can view the loyalty reward(s) or email discount(s) they have available.
π Note:
To open the Loyalty profile and access the Check Rewards button, the customer profile must contain a valid email address. Marsello uses the email address as a unique identifier for this purpose. Additionally, staff should verify that the customer has completed any necessary actions, such as clicking the 'Claim' button in an email, to ensure the reward is active.
The discount will then automatically be added to the sale.
When a customer redeems a discount as part of their order:
If they used a loyalty reward: the reward's loyalty points cost will be deducted from their points balance, and the discount will be applied to the sale. The customer's unique discount code will be shown in the discount details.
OR
If they used an email discount: the discount code will be removed from their account to prevent further use. The customer's unique discount code will also be displayed in the discount details.
8. Complete the sale
Upon completing the sale, customers will earn loyalty points based on their new order total, excluding the discount amount.
π Note: Only one reward may be applied to the sale at a time. Lightspeed Retail (R-Series) does not allow discount stacking.
