Customize the appearance and location of your Customer Portal through configuration settings.

Welcome to the Customer Portal—a hub for customers to sign up, log in, earn points, redeem rewards, and access exclusive discounts via email

⚽️ Heads up: Marsello will be transitioning all retailers from the legacy online widget and in-store portal to the new Customer Portal by March 31, 2025. This change aims to enhance user experience, streamline operations, and provide more robust features for your business. Stay tuned for further updates as we make this exciting shift!

Below is a step-by-step guide to sharing your Customer Portal with your customers.


Customer portal: Configuration Settings

​Spread the word about your loyalty program across all channels, from social media to online store launcher or banners. Use your loyalty program URL to reach potential customers everywhere.

1. In your Marsello admin, go to Customer experience

2. Under Personal device click Customer Portal > Brand

These settings determine where and how customers can interact with your customer portal.

🖌 Any customization or changes you make will automatically update in real time on the preview, giving you the chance to ensure it aligns with your preferences before finalizing.
🚀 When you're ready, click Save & Publish to update your live customer portal.

Configuration settings for Omnichannel with eCommerce and POS connection, or eCommerce–only

Sign-up / Log in

Marsello uses the eCommerce platform's store accounts to offer customers a single, unified login for both the online store and their loyalty program.

Unique loyalty program link

For retailers with an eCommerce store, you can simply add /?loyal to your online store domain to create your own unique loyalty program link for your business.


1. Go to your online store's homepage

2. At the end of the URL, add /?loyal

www.yourstorename.com/?loyal

Available for retailers with Shopify eCommerce & Lightspeed C-Series installed.
Coming soon for Lightspeed E-Series, WooCommerce and BigCommerce.

3. Press Enter to open your loyalty widget on your online store.

📝 Note: Your Customer portal must be published to your online store for this to work.

4. Copy your loyalty program link. You can now use this loyalty program link to share your loyalty program with your customers.

You can also choose to have a launcher available to all, prompting customers to open and engage with your loyalty program—encouraging new visitors to explore and existing customers to stay connected.

5. Under Launcher position

  • Select the Floating or Resting Tab Style

  • Select the Position (side) of the browser you'd like the launcher to display

6. Click Save as draft

👉 Update where the launcher sits on your browser window by adjusting the pixels.

⚙️ Advanced Options: Distance from the side ⚙️

  • Simply adjust the pixels from the side and bottom to suit your online store.

💡Quick Tip: If you have other tabs on your online store already, for example, a live chat icon, choose a position that is completely separate from the other tab.

📝 Note: Previously the 'Launcher' was known as the 'Loyalty tab' this feature has been renamed.


For POS–only connection merchants

Domain

Retailers with physical locations can use their customer portal domain to create a unique loyalty program link. By default, it’s set to your business name.

1. You can edit your store name as it appears in your domain (Optional)

⚠️ Important: This must be lowercase and use hyphens instead of spaces. No special characters can be used in the sub-domain e.g., ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ = + \ | [ ] { } ; : / ? > .

2. Click Save as Draft to save your new domain

3. Click the Copy icon to share your loyalty program URL with your customers.

💡 Tip: Share a link to your loyalty program on your website's homepage or in your email newsletters to customers, encouraging them to join and earn rewards with every purchase. Additionally, you can include the link on your social media profiles to reach a broader audience and attract new members.

⚙️ Advanced Options: Override sign-up URL ⚙️

If you are using Bopple / Lightspeed Ordering (as a white-labelled experience), you can direct your customers to sign up to your Bopple store accounts to create a seamless in-store and online ordering loyalty experience.
​​A. Copy your Bopple store URL e.g. https://yourstorename.bopple.app/loyalty
B. Paste into Override signup URL

C. Click the toggle to 'ON'

D. Click Publish Changes

Your customers will now create an account via Bopple, giving them one login for their online ordering and loyalty profile.

All of your Marsello communications, emails & SMS where they are linked to your loyalty program e.g. points earned email automation, will now also link the customer to their Bopple account to interact with their loyalty profile.

📝 Note: You do not need to customize the customer portal any further, your Bopple account will now be where your customers will interact with your loyalty program.


Mobile Shortcut

Personalize the tile that customers can save to their smartphone for quick access to their loyalty profile on the customer portal. This feature works on all smartphones, creating a convenient browser link on their home screen.

1. Under Mobile shortcut icon, Click Choose file to upload your logo

​2. Mobile shortcut label: Edit the name of the tile that will be displayed to customers on their home screen.
