How are loyalty points awarded in Clover POS?

Register new customers in-store via your Clover POS sales screen. Ensure seamless point earning for every purchase made by your in-store customers and empower your staff to efficiently redeem customers' loyalty rewards or email discounts at checkout.

Before you start


Award loyalty points for in-store purchases

For customers to earn loyalty points for their purchase, simply add the customer to the sale in Clover POS

1. Add the customer's products that they want to buy to the sale


2. Click Pay. On the Payment screen, the Marsello Loyalty button will be available.

3. Select the Loyalty banner button.

A Clover POS screen shows a sale being made in-store. The customer’s items are added to the sale. On the Payment screen, a Marsello Loyalty button appears. A large Loyalty banner button is shown, which you can tap to let the customer earn loyalty points for their purchase.

4. Search for the customer in one of two ways:

  • Click Add Customer to search by Email.

  • Click Scan QR to scan the customer's Digital Membership Card. This will launch the built-in camera.

šŸ“ Note: If the customer is not part of your database yet, tap + Add a new customer to create their customer profile. Follow these steps.

5. Select the Customer's Name. This will launch the customer's loyalty profile and attach the customer to the sale.

6. Return to the sale.

  • If the customer has a reward they wish to redeem, select the reward and click Apply Discount.

  • If the customer does not wish to use a reward, click Cancel.

7. Complete the sale. When the sale is complete, the customer will automatically receive their loyalty points.
