Effortlessly manage loyalty program and email discounts through Marsello's integration with your Bopple store. As customers make purchases or create accounts, they're automatically added to your loyalty and marketing database. Customers can easily redeem loyalty rewards or email discounts during the checkout process.

Below is a step-by-step guide to your customers' journey.


Connect Bopple to Marsello

Enable Marsello in your Lightspeed office

1. In your Lightspeed admin, go to Backoffice > Integrations


2. Click on the enable button to complete your connection to Marsello

1. In your Marsello app admin, go to the Integrations > POS & eCommerce outlets and select Connect Sales Platform

2. This will bring up your list of available connections. Next to Bopple, select Connect

⚠️Important: When creating your Bopple credentials in Marsello, please make sure you don’t use the same username/password combo that you used to sign up to Marsello or you will have issues connecting in step 3.

3. Log into your Bopple back office. Go to store settings > integrations tab and connect Marsello using the credentials you created in step 2.


Customers can join your loyalty program

Through online checkout

When your customer makes a purchase from your online store, they will enter their First Name, Last Name & Email Address at checkout. They can also indicate if they want to receive marketing from your store.
When the customer completes the sale, they will receive an email confirmation that prompts them to create an account. Once the customer's account has been created through the checkout process, the account then appear within your customer list in Marsello.

πŸ“ Note: If a customer checks out as a guest, they will be added to your loyalty program automatically. To exclude guest customers from your Loyalty Program, customize your order rewarding settings here.

Through the Bopple sign-up page (coming soon!)

Soon, customers will be able to join your loyalty program by signing up via the Sign-Up button in the top right corner of the screen, alternatively, customers can still sign up via the checkout page.

This will lead them to Bopple's account creation page. The customer will enter their First name, Last name, mobile number, email address, and password to create an account.

Currently, customers who sign up via the sign-up page only and do not reach the checkout page will not automatically sync into Marsello. If the customer creates an account via the signup page and then goes on to place an order on the checkout page, they will then be created in both Bopple & Marsello giving them one login across both.

πŸ“ Note: If you have the Create an Account loyalty earn points option enabled, customers, will also earn loyalty points for this action.

The customer will then be able to click the loyalty icon to view their available points and rewards.

If a customer would like to review their available loyalty rewards and email discounts (or see how many more points they'll need to unlock a reward), the customer will need to log into their Bopple account and click on the reward icon at the top of the page.

This will bring up the customer's loyalty account where they can review the rewards currently available to them.

How customers spend points and redeem rewards

When a customer has earned enough points, they can spend them to redeem a reward of their choice. Alternatively, if the customer has received a discount code through an email automation or campaign, this can be redeemed in the "My rewards" section.


To redeem a reward and get their unique reward discount code, the customer simply clicks Apply next the reward of their choice under the "My rewards" section at checkout.

As soon as a reward is redeemed, the customers points balance is adjusted, removing the points cost. A unique discount code is generated and displayed, ready for them to use.

The customer can use their discount code now, or save it for later. They can view their unused code at any time in your loyalty widget and if you have your Reward Discount Email turned on, they will be able to find it in their emails as well. Once they use the code, it will be removed from their account.

The customer will then proceed to complete the order as normal.


FAQs

Q. Does the points cost get taken away from their balance when they redeem a reward?

A. Yes, as soon as a reward is redeemed, the customer's points balance is adjusted, removing the points cost even if they don't use the coupon code in that order. This protects your store by preventing customers from redeeming rewards they are not entitled to.


Q. Can customers redeem more than one reward at a time?


​A. Even if a customer has enough points to redeem multiple rewards, they can only use one discount code at a time. This is to prevent discount stacking.


Q. Can a customer redeem their discount code more than once?
​

A. No, discount codes are unique and only available for one-time use.


Q. Can a customer redeem discount codes sent via email automations?


​A. Yes, discount codes sent via email automations can be redeemed via Bopple.
