When you connect Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) POS to Marsello, a discount product is automatically created to apply loyalty rewards and email discounts at checkout. For brand consistency, we recommend renaming this product to match your Loyalty Program. This guide explains how to update the product name.
Where can I find or change my rewards program name in the Marsello Customer Portal?
From your Marsello dashboard
1. In your Marsello admin, go to Customer experience > Brand > Nonvisual
2. Under the Naming settings is the current display name of your loyalty program.
💡Optional step: If you wish to change the name of your Marsello loyalty program to better suit your brand, you can edit this in the Naming section under the under Loyalty program name field.
3. If you made any changes, click Save & Publish.

From your Marsello dashboard
1. Navigate to Customer experience > Online > Online portal (Legacy)
2. In the Widget tab, click Customize text / Translation
3. Click Go to text editor >
4. Select to Customize text for the Welcome page from the drop-down menu:
5. The name of your Rewards Program is in the Header text section:
6. If you made any changes, click Save & Publish.
How do I edit the Marsello discount product in Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) POS? Optional.
If you’d like to change how the Marsello discount appears on the sales screen or customer receipts, you can update the product name directly in your Lightspeed Admin. Follow the steps below:
1. Login to Lightspeed Retail (X-series) POS as an Admin user or as a user with permission to edit products
2. Navigate to Catalog > Products and search for Marsello
3. Click the pencil icon to next to the Marsello Discount to edit the product
4. Update the Product name.
⚠️ Important: Do not change the Product Handle. It must remain set to MarselloDollarDiscount, as it is required by both Marsello and Lightspeed to ensure rewards apply correctly and reporting functions as expected.
5. Click Save.
Now, when customers or cashiers redeem rewards, they will better recognize the discount item on their receipt or on the Sell Screen.
